Description
The Fluence Z.E. is Renault’s first modern all-electric vehicle. The Fluence Z.E. is based on the gasoline-powered Fluence body style, which was introduced in 2009. The family sedan will recharge in four to eight hours, or about 20 minutes on a quick charge. The Fluence Z.E. will also have a “Quickdrop” battery exchange option, using Better Place’s battery exchange system. The Fluence Z.E. will cost €26,300 ($36,015 U.S.), before a €5,000 rebate, plus a monthly battery lease of €79 ($109 U.S.). Renault expects initial production at 20-40,000 units. Renault has begun taking reservations for the Fluence Z.E., which is expected to be released in March, 2012.
