Description
Formerly the BMW EfficientDynamics Vision PHEV, the i8 is BMW’s first plug-in sports car. The i8 is a newly-designed 2-door 4 seater PHEV, with the same electric drive system as theBMW i3 powering the front wheels, and a 1.5 L, 3-cylinder engine driving the rear wheels. Together, the two drive systems will bring the i8 to 60mph in less than 5 seconds, while achieving an estimated average of 94 mpg. For average driving, the i8 can travel up to 20 miles solely on electricity.
